I see the wind is blowing in the drawing: wanted to check to see if there was any post on the weather in La Connor. Our news talked about flooding in Washington State, and I remember just how flat it is in the flood plain. Hope all is well.
So far ... The upper Skagit Valley has several road closures because of water over the roadway. River valleys to the North and South have flooding. The Skagit River is expected to peak at 1 foot over flood stage which is mild. Sitting here beside an old abandoned but still useful oxbow of the stream. just a tad upstream of La Connor. Were sodden but fine. Tomorrow is forecast clear which may give us time to send the water out to the bay. So Lee is an Economist? Does he enjoy the Sandwichman at EconoSpeak? Happy 14th night! --ml
