Nil Desperandum

Obama has done as he promised he would.
His words were and are clear.
Obama will be the President he promised to be in stump speech after stump speech.
That will get us nearer to the goal the Democratic Party has sought for many years.
If that displeases any of us to the Left, too bad.

He told us.

This is what we voted for.

  1. Indeed. I am quite baffled that some on the Left are upset by Obama's appointments. Did they not listen to his stump speeches? Did not they read the policies posted on his WWW site? There is a reason why Obama was not my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th choice for the Democratic candidacy, why I did not vote for Obama in the primaries, and why I tarred many Obama supporters as "Obamabots" because of their blind faith in their Great Leader.

That said, given the choice between a competent traditional Democrat and an incompetent moose hunter from Alaska... SHUDDER. I held my nose and voted for the man. But I knew exactly what I was voting for - a traditional Chicago machine Democrat with opinions similar to all other Chicago machine Democrats when it comes to leftists (i.e., that they smell of unwashed hippies and need to be bashed over the head by cops with truncheons if they step out of their place, c.f. Chicago 1968). Some people, apparently, care more about "hope" than reality. Garg.
